Photography that tells the story behind the moment

I document real people in real life — not poses, not perfection. The honest, fleeting moments that make your story worth keeping.

About Elara

Based in Portland, Oregon, I've spent twelve years documenting the threads that hold people together — families, communities, quiet ordinary moments that turn extraordinary in a photograph.

My work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine and VSCO Journal, and exhibited at the Portland Art Museum. I shoot on film and digital, always chasing available light.
